Full Day Uros Floating Islands and Taquile

Our adventure begins in the city of Puno, where our team will pick you up directly from your hotel (located within the central area of the city) at approximately 7:00 AM. From there, we will go to the port, ready to embark on a comfortable and fast motor boat, designed with seats for your comfort.

The first stop on our tour will be at the mysterious Floating Islands of the Uros. Within the vast Titicaca National Reserve, there are around 90 of these unique islands, built entirely from reeds. On this visit, we will explore two of them. On the first island, our professional guide will give you a detailed explanation about the history, way of life, culture and traditions of the Uro community. You will have the opportunity to watch a fascinating demonstration of the construction and maintenance process of these floating islands. After the explanation, you'll have free time to explore the surroundings, take photos of the friendly locals, and immerse yourself in the unique surroundings. Later, we will go to the second floating island to continue the experience.

Around 9:00 AM, after our enriching visit to Uros, we will continue our navigation to the Island of Taquile, on a journey that will last approximately 1 hour and 20 minutes. Known as the home of "the best weavers in Peru", Taquile will surprise you with its natural beauty and deep-rooted customs. Upon arriving at the island, you will enjoy a pleasant walk of approximately 40 minutes that will take you to its main square, located 3950 meters above sea level. During this walk, you will have time to capture stunning photographs of the lake's landscapes and visit the local craft center, where renowned Taquile textiles are displayed. Our expert guide will immerse you in the tradition, culture and customs of the Taquileña community, sharing the secrets behind their textile art. At noon, you will be treated to a delicious lunch provided by the island's own inhabitants, an authentic local culinary experience.

With our soul nourished by culture and gastronomy, around 2:15 PM, we will begin our return. Our guide will tell you when to head to the port of Taquile to board our return boat. You will enjoy a quiet trip back to the city of Puno, where we estimate to arrive at approximately 5:00 PM. Once at the port, our transportation will be waiting to take you back to your central hotel, thus concluding a day full of discoveries and unforgettable experiences on Lake Titicaca.
